So, what is wittekool?
Wittekool, also known as white cabbage or Dutch cabbage, is a cruciferous vegetable that is closely related to broccoli, cauliflower, and kale. With its tight, ball-shaped head of pale green leaves, it is commonly used in traditional Dutch cuisine as a base for stews and soups, as well as in salads and coleslaws. This versatile ingredient is not only low in calories and high in fiber, but also loaded with essential vitamins and minerals such as vitamin C, vitamin K, folate, and potassium. Its mild flavor and crunchy texture make it a popular addition to many dishes around the world.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
