So, what is xarope de açúcar invertido?
Xarope de açúcar invertido, also known as inverted sugar syrup, is a sweet, translucent syrup with a golden brown color and a slightly caramelized flavor. It is made by breaking down regular table sugar into its two components, glucose and fructose, through a process known as hydrolysis. This results in a syrup that is sweeter and more soluble than regular sugar, making it a popular ingredient in a wide range of food products, from baked goods to beverages. Xarope de açúcar invertido also helps to improve texture, enhance flavor, and extend shelf life.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
