So, what is almidones modificados?
"Almidones modificados" is a Spanish term that translates to "modified starches." Modified starches are starches that have been chemically or physically altered to improve their functional properties. These starches are commonly used in the food industry to enhance the texture, stability, and shelf-life of food products. Modified starches may be derived from various sources such as corn, potato, tapioca, and wheat. They are widely used in baked goods, sauces, dressings, soups, and snacks. Modified starches can also be used as a thickening agent or to improve the mouthfeel of food products.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
