So, what is avelâs?

Avelãs, also known as hazelnuts, are a type of nut that grow on hazel trees. These small, round nuts are encased in a hard outer shell that must be removed before consumption. Avelãs have a rich, nutty flavor and are commonly used in baking, confections, and as a topping for salads or roasted vegetables. They are also a popular ingredient in spreads such as Nutella and in the production of pralines and chocolate truffles. Avelãs are a good source of protein, fiber, and healthy fats, making them a nutritious addition to any diet.

How to quickly find the source of ingredients like avelâs?

We've built a database of 49359 ingredients (and growing), classified as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "maybe vegan".

We use it in our vegan ingredients scanner, which is the best way to avoid non-vegan ingredients - you take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
