So, what is maniokmehl?
Maniokmehl, also known as cassava flour, is a gluten-free and grain-free flour that is made from the root of the cassava plant. It has a slightly sweet and nutty flavor, making it a versatile ingredient for both sweet and savory dishes. Maniokmehl is high in carbohydrates, but it also contains dietary fiber and various vitamins and minerals. Due to its unique texture and properties, it can be used as a thickener, binder, or even as a replacement for wheat flour in baking. Additionally, maniokmehl is a popular ingredient in many traditional dishes from Africa, South America, and Southeast Asia.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
