So, what is cèpes jaunes?
Cèpes jaunes, also known as yellow boletes, are a type of mushroom that is highly prized for its meaty texture and earthy flavor. These mushrooms have a distinctively firm cap that ranges in color from pale yellow to deep gold, with a stem that is often thicker at the base. Cèpes jaunes are commonly found in forests throughout Europe and North America, and are a staple ingredient in many traditional French and Italian dishes. They can be prepared in a variety of ways, from sautéing to roasting, and pair well with herbs like thyme and rosemary, as well as rich sauces and hearty meats.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
