So, what is cera de abejas?
Cera de abejas, also known as beeswax, is a natural wax secreted by honeybees. The wax is produced by worker bees and is used to build the honeycomb structure where they store their honey and raise their young. Beeswax has a wide range of uses in the food industry, including as a natural emulsifier, thickener, and stabilizer. It is also used in cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and candles. Beeswax is known for its distinctive scent and golden color, which can vary depending on the source of the nectar collected by the bees.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
