So, what is cera de carnaúba?

Cera de carnaúba, also known as carnauba wax, is a natural wax derived from the leaves of the carnauba palm tree found in Brazil. It is a hard, brittle wax that is widely used in food, cosmetic and pharmaceutical industries due to its excellent emulsifying properties and ability to form a protective coating. The wax is often used to enhance texture and appearance in food products such as chewing gum, candy, and chocolate. In cosmetics, it is commonly used in lipsticks and balms due to its shine and moisturizing benefits. Its non-toxic nature makes it a safe ingredient in various consumer products.
