So, what is chapelures?
Chapelures, also known as breadcrumbs, are a common ingredient used in cooking and baking. Made by grinding up dried bread, chapelures have a slightly coarse texture and a golden brown color. They are used as a coating for fried or baked foods, as a binding agent for meatballs and meatloaf, and as a topping for casseroles and gratins. Chapelures can also be seasoned with herbs and spices to add flavor and texture to dishes. They are a versatile and inexpensive ingredient that adds a crispy crunch to a wide variety of recipes.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
