So, what is ciclamatos?
Ciclamatos, also known as cyclamates, are artificial sweeteners that have been used in the food industry since the mid-20th century. They are often used in combination with other sweeteners to achieve a sugar-like taste without the added calories. While they provide a sweet flavor, ciclamatos are controversial due to their potential health risks. In some countries, they have been banned for use in food and beverages, while in others they are still permitted in certain quantities. Despite their questionable safety, ciclamatos are still used today as a low-calorie alternative to sugar.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
