So, what is cuscús?
Cuscús, also known as couscous, is a tiny granular pasta made from durum wheat. Originating from North Africa, it is a staple ingredient in Moroccan, Tunisian, and Algerian cuisine. Cuscús is versatile and easy to prepare; it can be served as a side dish, mixed with vegetables and spices, or used as a base for stews and salads. It has a mild, nutty flavor and a light, fluffy texture when cooked, making it an ideal accompaniment to meat, fish, or vegetables. Cuscús is also a healthy option, as it is low in fat, high in fiber, and contains essential nutrients such as B vitamins, iron, and selenium.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
