So, what is fermentos läcteos?
Fermentos lácteos, also known as dairy ferment starters, are a combination of live bacteria cultures used to ferment milk and dairy products. These cultures consist of strains of bacteria, such as Lactobacillus and Streptococcus, which convert lactose into lactic acid, resulting in a tangy and slightly sour taste. Fermentos lácteos are commonly used in the production of yogurt, cheese, sour cream, and buttermilk, as well as other fermented dairy products. They not only enhance the flavor and texture of these products but also provide numerous health benefits, such as improving digestion and boosting the immune system.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
