So, what is flax seeds?
Flax seeds are small, shiny, and brown in appearance and have a slightly nutty flavor. They are a great source of plant-based omega-3 fatty acids, fiber, and lignans, which are phytoestrogens that may have cancer-fighting properties. Flax seeds can be consumed in a variety of ways, such as sprinkled on top of yogurt or oatmeal, blended into smoothies, or used as an egg substitute in vegan recipes. These versatile seeds are also known for their ability to help regulate digestion, reduce inflammation, and lower cholesterol levels.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
