So, what is kürbis?
Kürbis is the German word for pumpkin, a nutritious and flavorful ingredient that is a staple in autumn and winter cuisine. With its bright orange color and versatile texture, kürbis can be roasted, baked, boiled, mashed, or pureed, making it perfect for soups, stews, pies, and bread. It is rich in vitamins A and C, antioxidants, and fiber, and has a slightly sweet and nutty flavor that pairs well with warm spices like cinnamon, ginger, and nutmeg. Kürbis is also known for its decorative value during Halloween and Thanksgiving, when carved into jack-o-lanterns or used as a centerpiece.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
