So, what is l-cys?
L-Cys, also known as L-cysteine, is a non-essential amino acid commonly used as a food additive. It is naturally found in protein-rich foods such as poultry, eggs, and dairy products. L-Cys is widely used in the food industry as a flavor enhancer, dough conditioner, and antioxidant. It can also be used as a source of sulfur for the body, which is important for maintaining healthy skin, hair, and nails. L-Cys is commonly synthesized by bacteria and used in the production of commercial bread and other baked goods. It is also used in the production of certain wines and beer to clarify and stabilize the final product.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
