So, what is lactiques?
"Lactiques" is a term used to describe food ingredients that contain lactic acid. This type of acid is produced naturally by bacteria during the fermentation process, and it has a tangy, sour taste. Common lactiques include yogurt, kefir, sauerkraut, pickles, and sourdough bread. In addition to adding flavor to foods, lactiques can also be beneficial for gut health. They contain probiotics, which are beneficial bacteria that can help improve digestion and boost the immune system. Incorporating lactiques into your diet can be an easy way to introduce more fermented foods and their potential health benefits.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
