So, what is oignon grelots?
Oignon grelots, also known as pearl onions, are a small and flavorful variety of onion that add a delicate and slightly sweet taste to dishes. These miniature onions are around the size of a grape, with a round shape and thin, papery skin that is easy to peel. Oignon grelots are commonly used in French cuisine and can be pickled, roasted, or sautéed as a side dish or used as an ingredient in stews, casseroles, and soups. Their small size and unique flavor make them a versatile and attractive addition to any dish.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
