So, what is sourdough cultures?
Sourdough cultures are a type of natural yeast that is used to make sourdough bread. These cultures consist of a symbiotic mixture of wild yeasts and lactic acid bacteria that live together in a fermented dough. Sourdough cultures impart a distinct sour flavor to bread, as well as a chewy texture and an airy crumb. They are often used in artisanal baking to create unique and flavorful loaves of bread. Sourdough cultures can be maintained over time by regularly feeding them flour and water, allowing them to ferment and grow.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
