So, what is soy oils?
Soy oil is a versatile and widely used cooking oil derived from soybeans, a high protein legume native to East Asia. It has a mild, neutral flavor that makes it suitable for a wide range of recipes, from sautéing and frying to baking and salad dressings. Soy oil is rich in polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats, which are believed to have several health benefits, including lowering cholesterol levels and reducing the risk of heart disease. It is also a good source of vitamin E, an antioxidant that helps protect the body from free radicals. Soy oil is commonly used in industrial food production, including the manufacturing of margarine, baked goods, and snack foods.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
