So, what is tomates?
Tomatoes are a staple ingredient in many cuisines around the world, prized for their juicy and tangy flavor as well as their versatility. These round, plump fruits are botanically classified as berries and come in a range of colors from vibrant red to yellow and even green. Tomatoes are rich in vitamins A and C, as well as lycopene, an antioxidant that may help reduce the risk of certain types of cancer. Whether eaten raw in salads, cooked in sauces or stews, or roasted to perfection, tomatoes add a burst of flavor and nutrition to any dish.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
