So, what is zeste de citrons?
Zeste de citrons is the French term for lemon zest, which refers to the outermost layer of a lemon's peel. This ingredient is often used in cooking and baking to add a bright, citrusy flavor and aroma to dishes. The zest is rich in essential oils and has a slightly bitter taste that can balance out sweet flavors. It is also packed with nutrients like vitamin C and fiber. Lemon zest can be grated or peeled off the fruit using a zester or a sharp knife, and can be used in a variety of dishes, including salads, marinades, cakes, and cocktails.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
