So, what is acetates de sodium?
Sodium acetate, also known as acetates de sodium, is a versatile food ingredient that is commonly used as a food preservative, flavor enhancer, and buffering agent. It is a white, odorless, crystalline powder that is soluble in water and has a slightly salty taste. Sodium acetate is often used in the production of processed meats, sauces, soups, and snacks. It is also used as a pH regulator in the production of cheese, and as a component in some baking powders. Sodium acetate is generally recognized as safe by the FDA and is widely used in the food industry.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
