So, what is acetatos de sodio?
Acetatos de sodio, also known as sodium acetate, is a versatile food ingredient that serves a variety of purposes. It functions as a preservative and flavor enhancer in processed foods such as sauces, dressings, and snacks. Due to its unique ability to regulate acidity levels, acetatos de sodio is also used in the production of cheese, where it helps prevent spoilage and improve texture. Moreover, it acts as a buffering agent in baking powder, making baked goods rise evenly. Acetatos de sodio is generally recognized as safe (GRAS) by the FDA and is a common ingredient found in many households and restaurants.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
