So, what is àcid citric?
Acid citric, also known as citric acid, is a natural organic acid found in citrus fruits such as lemons, limes, and oranges. It is widely used in the food industry as a flavoring agent, preservative, and acidity regulator. Its sour taste makes it a popular ingredient in beverages, candies, and baked goods. Acid citric is also commonly used in cleaning products due to its ability to remove hard water deposits and rust stains. As a food additive, it is generally considered safe, but should be consumed in moderation as excessive consumption may cause digestive discomfort.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
