So, what is acid acetic?
Acid acetic, also known as acetic acid, is a colorless, pungent liquid with a strong, distinctive vinegar-like odor. It is one of the simplest carboxylic acids and is widely used as a food preservative, flavoring agent, and acidity regulator. Acid acetic is naturally present in vinegar and is also produced by the fermentation of alcohol. In food, it is commonly found in pickles, sauces, salad dressings, and marinades. As a food ingredient, acid acetic adds a tangy, sour taste and helps to prevent the growth of bacteria and other microorganisms, extending the shelf life of products.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
