So, what is acide adipique?
Adipic acid, also known as acide adipique, is a white crystalline powder with a slightly sour taste. It is a dicarboxylic acid commonly used as a food ingredient and acidity regulator. Adipic acid is found naturally in beets, sugarcane, and other plants, but is typically produced synthetically for commercial use. It is used in a wide range of food and beverage products, including carbonated drinks, baked goods, candies, and gelatin desserts. Adipic acid also has industrial applications, such as in the production of nylon and other synthetic fibers.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
