So, what is all-spice?
All-spice is a versatile spice that comes from the dried and ground berries of the Pimenta dioica plant, which is native to the Caribbean, Mexico, and Central and South America. Its warm and complex flavor profile is reminiscent of a blend of cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves, with a hint of pepper. All-spice is commonly used in both sweet and savory dishes, such as jerk seasoning, pumpkin pie, and mulled wine. It can also be found in some types of barbecue sauce, sausage, and pickling spices. All-spice is a must-have ingredient in any well-stocked pantry for adding depth and complexity to dishes.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
