So, what is lentejas verdes?
Lentejas verdes, also known as green lentils, are a nutritious and delicious legume that are native to the Mediterranean and Middle Eastern regions. These small, lens-shaped seeds have a mild earthy flavor and a slightly nutty taste that makes them a versatile ingredient in many cuisines. Packed with protein, fiber, iron, and other essential nutrients, lentejas verdes are a healthy addition to any diet. They can be cooked in stews, soups, and salads, or even mashed into spreads and dips. Lentejas verdes are also easy to prepare, with a cook time of around 30 minutes, and they hold their shape well, making them a great choice for adding texture to a variety of dishes.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
