So, what is amarelo tartrazina?
Amarelo tartrazina is a yellow food coloring and synthetic dye commonly used to add color to processed foods, beverages, and cosmetics. It is also known as FD&C Yellow 5 and E102, and it is derived from coal tar. Despite being approved for use by regulatory authorities, some studies have suggested that amarelo tartrazina may cause allergic reactions in certain individuals, while others have linked it to hyperactivity in children. As a result, many consumers are seeking out alternative, natural food colorings and avoiding products that contain this ingredient.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
