So, what is anice?
Anise, also known as aniseed, is a highly aromatic spice that is commonly used in Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine. It has a sweet, licorice-like flavor and is often used to add depth and complexity to both sweet and savory dishes. Anise is frequently used in baking, particularly in breads, cakes, and cookies, as well as in liqueurs like absinthe and ouzo. It is also used in a variety of dishes, including stews, soups, and meat marinades. Anise has a number of potential health benefits, including aiding digestion, promoting sleep, and reducing inflammation.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
