So, what is anidride solforosa?
Anidride solforosa, also known as sulfur dioxide, is a food ingredient commonly used as a preservative and antioxidant in a variety of foods and beverages. It is a colorless gas with a pungent odor and a sharp, acidic taste. Anidride solforosa helps to inhibit the growth of bacteria, yeast, and mold in food products, thus prolonging their shelf life. It also helps to prevent browning and discoloration in fruits and vegetables. While anidride solforosa is generally considered safe for consumption in small amounts, it may cause allergic reactions or respiratory problems in some individuals, especially those with asthma.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
