So, what is as cholecalciferol?
Cholecalciferol, also known as vitamin D3, is a fat-soluble vitamin that plays a critical role in maintaining healthy bones and teeth, as well as supporting the immune system and promoting overall well-being. It is found naturally in certain foods, such as fatty fish and egg yolks, but is often added to fortified foods like milk and cereal. Cholecalciferol can also be synthesized by the body when exposed to sunlight. Adequate levels of vitamin D are essential for optimal health, and deficiency can lead to a range of health issues, including osteoporosis and weakened immune function.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
