So, what is ättiksyra?
Ättiksyra, also known as acetic acid, is a clear, colorless liquid with a strong, pungent odor. It is a versatile food ingredient commonly used as a preservative, acidifier, and flavor enhancer in various food products such as condiments, pickles, and sauces. With its sour taste and acidic properties, ättiksyra can also be used in marinades, dressings, and baking to impart a tangy flavor and help regulate pH levels. Apart from its culinary applications, ättiksyra is also widely used in industrial settings, such as in the production of plastics, dyes, and solvents.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
