So, what is banana pepper?
Banana pepper is a mild, sweet and tangy chili pepper that is commonly used in many culinary dishes. The pepper is typically yellow, tapered, and shaped similarly to a banana, hence the name. It has a thin and waxy skin with a flesh that is crisp and juicy, offering a slight crunch when consumed fresh or pickled. Banana peppers can be eaten raw or cooked, and are often stuffed with cheese or meat for added flavor and texture. They also make for a delicious addition to salads, sandwiches, pizzas, and relishes, giving a touch of heat without being overpowering.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
