So, what is betarraga?
Betarraga, also known as beetroot or simply beets, is a vibrant root vegetable that comes in a deep red-purple color. This earthy-tasting ingredient is a rich source of essential vitamins and minerals, including iron, potassium, and folate, making it an excellent addition to any healthy diet. Betarraga can be eaten raw, roasted, boiled, pickled, or even juiced, and is often used in salads, soups, stews, and as a natural food coloring agent. Its distinctive flavor and vivid hue make it a popular choice among chefs and home cooks alike for adding a pop of color and nutrient density to their dishes.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
