So, what is boletus reticulatus?
Boletus reticulatus is a delicious edible mushroom that is highly prized in culinary circles. Also known as the summer cep or network bolete, this mushroom is typically found growing in deciduous and coniferous forests in the Northern Hemisphere during the summer months. It has a distinctive cap that ranges in color from reddish-brown to yellow-brown and is covered in a net-like pattern of ridges and furrows. The stem is typically thick and solid, and can range in color from white to yellow-brown. When cooked, Boletus reticulatus has a meaty texture and a rich, earthy flavor that pairs well with a wide variety of dishes.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
