So, what is sirop le glucose-fructose?
Sirop le glucose-fructose, also known as glucose-fructose syrup, is a common food ingredient used as a sweetener in a variety of products such as soft drinks, candies, baked goods, and processed foods. It is made from corn syrup that has undergone a process called enzymatic hydrolysis, which breaks down the glucose molecules into fructose, resulting in a sweeter syrup with a higher fructose content than regular corn syrup. This syrup is often preferred by manufacturers because it is cheaper than cane sugar and has a longer shelf life. However, some studies have linked high fructose consumption to health issues such as obesity and type 2 diabetes, so it is important to consume this ingredient in moderation.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
