So, what is bosui?
Bosui, also known as spring onions or scallions, are a type of young onion with a long, straight white bulb and tall, green hollow leaves. They have a sweet, mildly pungent flavor that's milder than regular onions, making them versatile for use in various culinary applications. Bosui is commonly used in Asian cuisine as a garnish, seasoning, or ingredient in stir-fries, soups, and noodle dishes. They're packed with vitamins and minerals, including vitamin C, dietary fiber, and potassium. Bosui is a low-calorie vegetable that adds flavor, nutrition, and color to any dish.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
