So, what is búzaglutén?
Búzaglutén is a protein extracted from wheat that gives dough its elasticity and helps it rise during baking. It is commonly used as an ingredient in bread, pasta, and other baked goods. Those with celiac disease or a gluten intolerance must avoid búzaglutén as it can cause severe digestive discomfort. However, for those who can tolerate it, búzaglutén adds texture and structure to baked products, helping them hold their shape and maintain moisture. When used properly, búzaglutén can enhance the flavor and appearance of baked goods, making it a valuable ingredient in many recipes.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
