So, what is c-vitamin?

C-vitamin, also known as vitamin C, is a water-soluble vitamin that plays an essential role in many bodily functions. It is a potent antioxidant that helps protect cells from damage caused by harmful molecules known as free radicals. C-vitamin is also necessary for the production of collagen, a protein that supports the structure of bones, cartilage, and skin. In addition, this vitamin helps the body absorb iron from plant-based foods and boosts the immune system. C-vitamin can be found in many fruits and vegetables, including oranges, strawberries, kiwi, broccoli, and bell peppers. A deficiency of C-vitamin can lead to scurvy, a disease characterized by weakness, fatigue, and bleeding gums.

How to quickly find the source of ingredients like c-vitamin?

We've built a database of 49359 ingredients (and growing), classified as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "maybe vegan".

We use it in our vegan ingredients scanner, which is the best way to avoid non-vegan ingredients - you take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
