So, what is óxido de magnésio?
Óxido de magnésio is a naturally occurring mineral compound commonly used as a food ingredient. Also known as magnesium oxide, it is created when magnesium is burned in the presence of oxygen, resulting in a fine white powder with high alkalinity. It has several functional applications in food production, including as an acidity regulator, color retention agent, and flow aid. It is also used as a source of dietary magnesium, an essential mineral that plays a vital role in many bodily functions, such as muscle and nerve function, blood sugar control, and bone health. Its mild flavor and odorless properties make it an ideal ingredient for use in a wide range of foods and supplements.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
