So, what is cacao beans°?
Cacao beans are the seeds of the cacao tree, a small tropical evergreen tree native to Central and South America. These beans are the foundation for all chocolate products, including cocoa powder, chocolate bars, and truffles. They have a rich, complex flavor profile that can range from fruity and floral to nutty and earthy, depending on the variety and growing conditions. Cacao beans are also a good source of antioxidants, fiber, and minerals like iron, magnesium, and zinc. They are typically roasted and ground to make chocolate products or used in various recipes, such as smoothies, baked goods, and sauces.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
