So, what is carotenen?
Carotenens are natural pigments found in plants, algae, and photosynthetic bacteria that play a vital role in photosynthesis. These compounds are responsible for the bright and vibrant colors of fruits and vegetables such as carrots, sweet potatoes, pumpkins, and tomatoes. Carotenens are potent antioxidants and have been shown to possess anti-inflammatory and immune-boosting properties. They also have been linked to reducing the risk of certain chronic diseases, such as cardiovascular disease, macular degeneration, and cancer. Additionally, carotenens are essential for the production of vitamin A in the body, which is critical for maintaining healthy skin, vision, and immune function.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
