So, what is carotenoide?
Carotenoids are a family of natural pigments that are found in plants, algae, and some bacteria. These pigments are responsible for the bright red, orange, and yellow colors in many fruits and vegetables, such as carrots, sweet potatoes, and tomatoes. Carotenoids have been linked to several health benefits, including their role as powerful antioxidants that protect cells from damage caused by harmful molecules known as free radicals. In addition, some carotenoids can be converted into vitamin A in the body, which is essential for healthy vision, immune function, and skin health. With their vibrant colors and numerous health benefits, carotenoids are an essential ingredient for any nutritious diet.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
