So, what is ceylon?
Ceylon is a spice that comes from the inner bark of the Cinnamomum verum tree, which is native to Sri Lanka. Also known as "true cinnamon," ceylon has a delicate, sweet flavor with subtle citrusy notes, which sets it apart from the more common cassia cinnamon. Ceylon is commonly used in baked goods, desserts, and beverages, and is also a popular ingredient in savory dishes such as curries and stews. In addition to its culinary uses, ceylon has been traditionally used for its medicinal properties, such as its anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial effects.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
