So, what is chile guajillo?
Chile guajillo is a type of dried chili pepper commonly used in Mexican cuisine. It is known for its mildly sweet and fruity flavor, with a subtle smokiness and a moderate heat level that adds depth to dishes without overwhelming the palate. The guajillo pepper is usually deep red in color, with a long and narrow shape that tapers to a point, and a smooth, shiny surface. It is often rehydrated by soaking in hot water before being used in salsas, soups, stews, and marinades, and can also be toasted and ground to make chili powder or seasoning blends.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
