So, what is cholekalciferol?
Cholecalciferol is a vital nutrient commonly known as vitamin D3. It is a type of fat-soluble vitamin that is naturally present in only a few foods, but it can also be synthesized by the body through exposure to sunlight. Cholecalciferol plays a significant role in calcium absorption, bone health, and immune system function. It is also involved in regulating cell growth and differentiation. As a food ingredient, cholecalciferol is often added to fortified foods, such as milk, cereal, and orange juice, to help individuals meet their daily recommended intake of vitamin D.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
