So, what is coentro?
Coentro, also known as cilantro or coriander, is a versatile herb commonly used in Latin American, Caribbean, and Asian cuisines. Its unique flavor profile combines citrusy, slightly bitter, and earthy notes, making it a perfect complement for spicy dishes, salsas, and marinades. Coentro is an excellent source of antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals such as vitamin K, potassium, and calcium. It's also believed to have anti-inflammatory properties and aid in digestion. Due to its distinctive taste, coentro can be a polarizing ingredient, but for those who love it, there's nothing quite like the bold flavors it brings to any dish.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
