So, what is crottin?

Crottin is a small, creamy goat cheese that originated in the Loire Valley of France. It is made from 100% goat's milk and has a distinct tangy flavor with a slightly nutty finish. The cheese itself is cylindrical in shape and weighs between 60-80 grams, making it an ideal size for serving as a snack or appetizer. Crottin can be enjoyed on its own, crumbled over salads or used as a topping for pizza or pasta dishes. Its versatile nature also makes it a popular choice for pairing with wine, particularly Sauvignon Blanc.
