So, what is de maltose?
De maltose is a carbohydrate that consists of two glucose molecules joined together through an α-1,4 glycosidic bond. It is a white, odorless powder that is commonly used as a sweetener in food production. Unlike regular table sugar, de maltose does not raise blood sugar levels as quickly, making it a preferred ingredient for those with diabetes. It is also frequently used in brewing and baking as a fermentable sugar source for yeast. De maltose is a versatile ingredient that can be found in a wide range of food products, including bread, beer, and candy.
We've built a vegan ingredients scanner that classifies food ingredients as "vegan", "non-vegan", or "potentially vegan".
It allows you to avoid non-vegan ingredients - just take a picture of a product's ingredient list, and the app tells you if the product is vegan or not.
